The most fabulous and charitable race of the year has started

Pleasant pre-festive bustle is reigning right now in the Great National Assembly Square. The annual charity run Maratonul de Crăciun has started! Hundreds of participants wearing carnival costumes gathered to run 3 km along the main street of Chisinau - Stefan cel Mare Boulevard, collecting gifts provided by the partners for the event.

At the moment, participants with families in the company of friends or colleagues are being registered, getting starter packages, warming up and waiting for the start of the run, which will be given at 12:00. A food zone with hot drinks and tasty treats is open for everybody, as well as a charity fair where you can buy nice souvenirs and festive accessories from mama.md and Sporter.

The organizers will donate all sales profits to Eva Pismenyuk, who suffers from cerebral palsy. The girl is only 4 years old and needs physical rehabilitation to grow and develop normally. This year, part of the entry fee of Maratonul de Craciun will also be transferred to the Pismenyuk family.

For participants in the most unusual costumes, the organizers have prepared contests for the most creative outfit, the most original family in fancy dress, and the most outstanding Santa Claus. The winners will receive gifts at the end.

As a reminder, Maratonul de Crăciun is yearly held in Chisinau since 2013. Its main goal is to promote a healthy lifestyle and amateur sports in Moldova, as well as help sick and special needs children.

The Christmas run is organized by the sports organization Sporter, the women's forum mama.md, and the free online classifieds board 999.md.
