What to take with you to “Hai Haiduci! by Salomon”

The first sports and music festival “Hai Haiduci! by Salomon” will be open in less than two days. Please be reminded that the event will be held for two days in the very heart of the Codri forest. That is why it’s a good idea preparing all the necessary things as we speak.

If you don’t often go to the forest or camping, here is an article that will give you some ideas about useful things to take with you to the festival.

Setting off for “Hai Haiduci! by Salomon”, it’s important that you don’t forget anything. To begin with, we suggest that you make a list of necessary things and then collect them by the list.

What things to take with you to “Hai Haiduci! by Salomon”

1. A tent

If you’re going to watch the entire “Hai Haiduci! by Salomon” entertainment program and stay overnight in the camping area, you’ll certainly need a tent.

What’s worth your attention when choosing a tent? Size matters. When you choose the size, please take into account the number of people. Each person needs 60 cm width. There are different types of tents, but in terms of space they all have some margin – e.g.. a two man tent will have room for three people, and a three person tent will have room for the fourth person.

2.A sleeping bag

A sleeping bag is great if you decided to stay overnight at “Hai Haiduci! by Salomon”. You can take with you a bag that you have used for excursions or you can benefit from the rental services offered by the Limon.md store. The rental rate for a sleeping bag is 30-50 lei (depending on thermal regime).

What to consider when choosing a sleeping bag? Each sleeping bag has a different thermal regime. We suggest that you focus on average indicators, and, to be on the safe side, don’t choose one below the comfort limit.

If you’re going to “Hai Haiduci! by Salomon” only for daytime, then you don’t need a sleeping bag – you won’t like to miss the intense interactive program of the festival!

3.A ground pad

A ground pad is crucial even if you go to the festival for just one day. It is a very useful thing, especially when you want to sit down or have a snack. In addition, the pad will help you avoid direct contact with the soil, where lots of ticks come and go. If you don’t have your own pad, you can hire one from Limon for only 12 lei.

4. Protection against biting insects and ticks

Before you go to “Hai Haiduci! by Salomon”, go to the pharmacy and buy some tick protection means, which are sold in a varied range. If you still have some product left from the previous season, please check shelf life and don’t use if expired.

Lifehack. In the forest you can use the Vietnamese balm ointment Golden Star. The smell of the ointment will scare the ticks and keep them away!

If you’re going to stay overnight at “Hai Haiduci! by Salomon”, then you shall prepare for the night beforehand. Spray your sleeping bag, tent, clothes and personal things with anti-mite substances or repellents.

5. Rain-proof outdoor clothing

At any open sky event, you need to be prepared for the rain. If it should rain and your clothes are sopping wet, you will certainly not feel comfortable. We suggest you take a raincoat with you, some warm clothes and some dry clothes.

 6. A backpack

If you’re going to the festival by public transport, you certainly need a backpack. More exactly, you need a backpack to compactly store all the things listed above. For events like “Hai Haiduci! by Salomon” a small backpack (25-35 liters) will suit.

The main thing you need to know when choosing a backpack is that it is meant to support the weight of the whole gear you’ll be taking with you, and ensure a comfortable carrying of the load on your back.

This is the basic list of useful things for “Hai Haiduci! by Salomon”. Sure, it’s not the complete list of things you'll need at the festival. So you can consider this article only as a landmark for your personal list of things that you may need when you come to our event.

The only mandatory attributes that must be present in absolutely all participants and guests of “Hai Haiduci! by Salomon”, are: good mood, smiles and an attitude for victory.
